Kraft Center Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Dear Community Partners, Colleagues and Friends,

It is with great pride and gratitude that we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Kraft Center for Community Health. Today, we reflect on a decade marked with achievement, innovation, partnerships, challenges and growth. Since its inception in 2012, The Center has always been true to its mission to increase access to high-quality health care for vulnerable populations through innovative programming and community health training.

Throughout the past decade, I’m proud to say The Kraft Center has been a leader and trailblazer in innovative programming, including mobile addiction services, cancer care equity, COVID-19 pandemic response, community health leadership training and more. Along the way, we have worked with so many incredible partners and funders, without whom none of this important work would be feasible.

We are especially thankful for the generosity, vision and leadership of Mr. Robert K. Kraft and the Kraft family. Robert and family view access to high-quality care as both important and achievable and founded The Kraft Center with this vision in mind. Every day, we at The Center strive to ensure we are delivering top quality programming that furthers the mission while promoting both health and equity in our communities.

Having existed for only 10 short years, the impact and legacy of The Kraft Center is truly remarkable, and I cannot convey how honored I feel to be the Executive Director. As we celebrate our accomplishments with those who have made this all possible, we also look to a future of successful partnerships, innovative projects and meaningful, sustainable programming.

Thank you for celebrating with us. Here’s to another successful decade. For more information, please read our Kraft Center 10th Anniversary Brochure.

Best wishes,
Elsie Taveras, MD, MPH
