Worcester Community Care in Reach Mobile Launch

On September 7, UMass Memorial Medical Center cut the ribbon on their Community Care in Reach van to mobilize essential addiction services and bring them directly to those in the Worcester community who need it most. The mobile unit brings clinical care and harm reduction services to people most impacted by the overdose epidemic.

The CCiR model was first piloted in Boston in 2018 by The Kraft Center for Community Health, Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Boston Public Health Commission, and the GE Foundation. With support from Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the program has since expanded to 4 locations across Massachusetts.

A huge thank you to the Robert K. Kraft Family for their generous contribution that made this possible!
