Kraft Family Gives an Additional $5 Million to Endow the Kraft Center for Community Health Leadership

On November 23, 2015, at the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers gala to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the community health center movement, the Robert K. Kraft family announced a new gift of $5 million to Partners HealthCare to endow the Kraft Center for Community Health Leadership. In 2011 the family’s original gift of $15 million established the Kraft Center. The additional endowment gift will ensure that the Kraft Center continues in perpetuity so that generations to come will benefit from a strong primary care workforce dedicated to serving vulnerable patients. The announcement at the Mass League event was fitting as the League, under the leadership of CEO James W. Hunt, Jr. PhD, was a founding partner of the Kraft Center. Read the Globe article here.
