Trefler Family Joins the Kraft Family in Creating the Next Generation of Community Health Leaders
The Kraft Center is deeply grateful to Pamela and Alan Trefler for their recent gift of $1,000,000 to create the Trefler Practitioner Program for Cancer Equity. The Trefler Program will support Kraft Center trainings working in the area of early detection and treatment of cancer among marginalized populations throughout Greater Boston.
Established in 1996, the Trefler Foundation is a private family foundation with a focus on community health and wellness and education. This gift will enable the Kraft Center to deepen its commitment to making affordable, high quality cancer care available to the most vulnerable among us – an area of personal interest to the Kraft family. Creation of the Trefler Practitioner Program for Cancer Equity will complement a Patient Navigator program currently funded by the Trefler Foundation at MGH Chelsea.
We look forward to reporting on the progress of the Trefler Practitioner Program for Cancer Equity and once again thank Pam and Alan Trefler for their generous investment in the Kraft Center and the future of community health.
